PolkaDotGals 2008 Launch Party!

On Saturday the 8th of November 2008, The PolkaDotGals campaign launched with it's first calendar, to help raise awareness of Fibromyalgia, at the episode hotel in Leamington Spa, the event was hosted by PolkaDotGals Director Bianca Embley and featured appearance's from PolkaDotGals ambassador Danni Wells and Miss England 2008 Laura Coleman who lent her support to us, on her way to the Miss World competition in Johannesburg. Following a champagne and canape reception, guests were able to bid on a number of items donated by generous celebrities including Helen Mirren and Raymond Blanc. The launch was held in association with UK Charity FMA UK.

CALENDAR IS SPOT ON FOR BIANCA -
THE SUN

WHEN you've been crippled by a devastating illness at the age of 32, most people would baulk at the idea of peeling off their clothes in public. But for Bianca Embley, stripping down and posing starker's for a charity calendar - to raise funds for Fibromyalgia - seemed the perfect way to face her fears and do some good at the same time.

September 2008: Bianca meets with the American National Fibromyalgia Association

In September PolkaDotGals director Bianca Embley and her mother Gail traveled to California to meet with Lynne Matallana and her team at the headquarters of the American National Fibromyalgia Association. We are delighted to announce that they have agreed to work with the PolkaDotGals promoting our calendar project and future ventures.
