Bianca Embley; PolkaDotGals Director
Bianca established the PolkaDotGals after developing Fibromyalgia following an accident whilst working as a flight attendant for Virgin Atlantic in 1998. A former successful Model and trained actress whose career included campaigns for clothing store New Look, was left disabled by the condition.
After 10 years of struggling with the devastating condition and seeing specialists around the world she is now turning her life around. Starting with the establishment of the PolkaDotGals, Bianca also recently completed her studies at Warwick University in French and Journalism. Currently she is dividing her time between her role as business woman/ advocate for the PolkaDotGals, magazine interviews ( She and Cosmopolitan being the latest), a regular slot on BBC radio's Coffee Club and taking part in researching and consulting with specialists and charities across the world. Together with this she is writing her first book, an autobiography with a twist!

Gail Boyle
Gail, the mother of Bianca Embley, was a former successful businesswoman who developed Fibromyalgia following a serious car accident in January 2007. Also Blanca's former carer she is now unable to work or care for her daughter as a result of the debilitating condition. Gail is deeply passionate about the plight of Fibromyalgia. |

Danni Wells; Model
Model Danni Wells, 21, has featured on the cover of magazines in the UK and abroad, including Maxim, Zoo and Playboy. Her grandmother, Janet Farr, has Fibromyalgia and runs the Coventry Fibromyalgia Support Group, giving Danni a personal interest in the condition.

Miguel & Tim; Web design/research
Miguel Ramon & Tim Knaggs, Our good friends from 3vistasdesign and Inmalagatoday have provided us with technical support as well as research. they have also produced the official PolkaDotGals web site. Though they are extremely busy, they are dedicated to what we are doing and have been a part of our team since the start of 'PolkaDotGals'.
They provide not only web solutions, but also information sites covering every thing from news to local events for both Spanish and English within the inland Costa Del Sol. |
Luke Varley; Photographer
Luke Varley has been a photographer for the last five years, specializing in actors’ portraits. Originally an actor himself, his skill for photography developed over ten years ago from taking pictures backstage at rehearsals and during productions. Other core work includes production stills and promotional material for film, theatre and music, and other live events such as weddings. Just occasionally, he photographs beautiful ladies with no clothes on, but only if it’s for a really good cause. lukevarley.com

Daniel Austin; BSc , Clinic Manager
Daniel is the Manager for the London and Bristol FM Clinics. In 1996, along with Professor John Davies, we set our clinics up to offer the most advanced, multi disciplined, evidence based Fibromylagia treatment centres we could. My main job is to review the research on Fibromylagia and cross reference it with all the other evidence based research so that we can offer the most cutting edge treatment possible to our patients.
I have a long history of setting up new or cutting edge medical treatments in the UK in both the NHS and Private sectors. I have FMS myself and I have improved greatly using the treatments we offer at our clinics.
Dr Kim Lawson, BTech (Hons), PhD

Dr Kim Lawson is a research pharmacologist with an international reputation in Drug Discovery Research. He has broad research experience gained in both multinational pharmaceutical industries and academia. National and international recognition of his work in fibromyalgia has resulted in regular invitations as a consultant to the pharmaceutical and healthcare industries & affiliated organizations, to talk at public events & scientific conferences and to write ‘expert opinion’ articles for scientific and clinical journals. Specifically, Dr Lawson has research interests in the identification of novel targets for the development of drugs for the treatment of fibromyalgia. He is on the editorial board of Myalgies International and is a member of the Medical Advisory Board to the Fibromyalgia Association UK.
