COVENTRY CITY FC PLAYERS TO POSE WITH DANNI
WELLS
Coventry City footballers will join Page Three
girl Danni Wells as she strips off for the
Polkadotgals charity calendar, at the Ricoh
Arena on Thursday 29 November.
They will be highlighting the cause of a
31-year-old Warwick woman, Bianca Embley, who
suffers from Fibromyalgia, an extremely
debilitating illness.
Former model Bianca, who developed Fibromyalgia
after an accident 10 years ago, wants to raise
public awareness of the condition.
She was recently invited to speak in the
Houses of Parliament about her campaign and has
gained the support of Shadow Higher Education
Minister Rob Wilson MP.
She has organised the PolkadotGals 2009
part-nude calendar shoot which, in addition to
the Coventry City FC players and Danni Wells,
has been endorsed by other sports personalities
including champion 100m hurdler Sara McGreavy
and Americas Cup sailor David Carr.
Bianca, who is passionate about her cause, says:
“Up to two million people in the UK suffer with
Fibromyalgia, but there could be up to ten
million cases as less than 20 per cent of
sufferers are officially diagnosed. One of the most common causes is whiplash
and a growing number of people are literally
suffering in silence, which is why support is
desperately needed.”
The condition is characterised by chronic
widespread pain and fatigue and it is now
reported to be more prevalent than arthritis.
Bianca’s calendar shoot will be undertaken by a leading
UK photographer.
Press are invited to attend the event,
which starts at 2.30pm.
